General Info about Web-Colour

About the program:

Web-Colour is a freeware HTML colour code program. Using slider bars, you can preview the colours before you insert them into your page. You can automatically paste the code into any text based editor using InstaPaste.

If you prefer to use Notepad instead of those fancy WYSIWYG HTML editors, or if you don't like the colour selection method of your editor, this program is for you.

I wrote this program because I had trouble guessing the exact colour code for the shade I wanted. I couldn't find any other programs that did exactly what I wanted so I made one.

Written in Visual Basic 4.0.

Installation:

Just copy the files into the directory of your choice and add it to the Program Manager (or the taskbar). VB40016.DLL is required, and available on most major FTP sites.

The DLL files should be copied into your /WINDOWS/SYSTEM directory. If there already is a copy of the DLL in /WINDOWS/SYSTEM, use the most recent version. If you are using Windows 95, you can check the version number by going into Explorer, right-clicking the file and selecting "Properties". If you aren't using Win95, you should use the date stamps of the files as a guide. Remember to back up any DLL files before overwriting them!

Help:

Most of the commands are self-explanatory when using the Quick Help. Check the Web-Colour web page for more information.

Screen shot:

Some of the more observant of you may notice that the colour does not match the code in this screen shot. I assure you that my program is not buggy. This was caused during the screen capture process when I took the image down to 4 bits.
